Test Your Fitness 800 Meter Time Trial
That's right, time to shake the rust off. Mondanock High-School's track on Saturday, December 5th, there will be a group 800 meter time trial, mainly to face the reality of the impending indoor track season. It should be fun to run fast and enjoy the company and/or pain everyone will experience. 9:00 a.m. All welcome!

Family Fun Run Night #4: August 12th
The future track stars blazed the track on a beautiful night. We only have one more night next Wednesday, August 19th at 6:30. Pass the word along so we can have a great turnout. Refreshments will be provided following the running events. See you there!

Family Track Night #3, July 22nd
Hot and humid conditions must have kept people away last night, as we had the smallest turnout yet, but once again, the kids in attendance had fun and made great improvements. Just a reminder that our next Family Track Night will not be until August 12th, and our last night of the series will be August 19th. We would love to see more runners of all ages, so if Elm City TC members could pass the word along to friends of all ages, that would be greatly appreciated.

Family Track Night #2, July 15th
A great turnout for Week #2, especially the future stars of track & field. The youngsters turned up the heat as the adults were outnumbered at the track, and the races were all fun to watch. The race of the evening though was an unplanned Adult 100 meter dash, where the gauntlet was thrown down by Elm City T.C. friend Christian Battaglia. George Adams, Clint Joselin, and Scott Giza all accepted the challenge (a decision they most certainly regretted the next day), but Christian was too fast for the pacemakers and went on to post an easy win.
Week #3 is scheduled for July 22nd, and then we are off until August 12th & August 19th.

It's Official: Elm City TC is on the Map!
Elm City Track Club is now an official USATF-New England club, #315. Our first official club race for the New England Grand Prix will be the Bay State Marathon in October. Go ECTC!!
Membership grew this week with the addition of Mark Miller, Justin Fyffe, George Adams, Greg Hammett, Andy McCarron, Brian "Bojo" Johnson, and Maureen & Dan Fyffe. Our Wednesday workout was fast, and it was exciting to see the Keene area "fast guys" together on the track.
We survived the rain and thunder in the 1st Wednesday night family fun run with a handful of "little ones", a couple elementary runners, and a couple adults. The race of the night went to 51 year old Dan Fyffe who was paced by his son Justin to a 5:48 mile, a new personal best. Great job Dan, we all know you can run 5:30 soon!
Membership information is available through Erik Kress (ekress@sau29.org). Join us next Wednesday at 6:30.
